Best way to spend on IRCTC Website?

Hi All,
I frequently travel by Indian Railways. Would like to know the best possible options to book train tickets.

I usually book tickets via UPI gateway as convenience fee is huge on cards.

Amazon has started charging convenience fee just like Paytm. So no use now.

Even for lesser amount of tickets, I'm getting Amazon service charge. ₹20 for sleeper, ₹40 for AC.

Its sad seeing that Amazon treat their customers differently. I kinda order most of the things from Amazon only.

I dont think so. I rarely buy train tix from amazon, but I also noticed Rs. 40 as service charge now.

What we can try is, to book from irctc itself, but use APay as the payment method.. And before that, buy Apay GCs from gyftr + SBI CB card for max benefits !

There isn't any option to to book via Apay Wallet in IRCTC. Only wallets they have are Ola, Paytm & PhonePe.

Yeah its in website. But attracting 1.8% charges whereas we get 2% cashback in buying Apay GC. Not worth it.
And buying from gyftr isn't worthy as cashback comes in 90 days.

Best could be to book via Smartbuy from HDFC CC

SBI cashback give 5% cashback on Apay GC directly buying from amazon.
