ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = ₹1.

Redemption Options:

  • Flight Booking: You can pay 100% of the order value using reward points.
  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = ₹1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

Check the CVV path on netbanking. All points upto the last statement of march 25/27 should reflect there.

@theXfactor
So basically the 'Opening Balance' is reward points of previous month cycle which have been transferred to card account. E.g. 3rd Feb to 2nd March.
And 'Earned during the month' are the reward points of last cycle that are yet to be transferred to the card account. E.g. 3rd March to 2nd April.
Ideally it should be current billing cycle, but with ICICI holding back reward points, the process seems to be going delayed.

My bill got generated on 8th April and I wrote to customer care on 9th April, that I have not received reward points in the last 2 months... they credited the points on 10th April to 'Earned during the month' (including base + accelerated). And these points were upto transactions of 8th April, included in the bill generated.
Since then I have done few more transactions (both within and outside iShop). Lets see when they start showing up in 'Earned during the month'.

The confusion was extra 504 points that I had received. Probably these extra points are for some old promotion where rewards are given after few months.
Could you please share the customer care email ID? I haven't received the reward points for the gift cards purchased in February using my Amazon Pay credit card. My April statement has already been generated, but the points are still not reflected.

I think Amazon Pay credit card gives you direct Apay credit as cashback. Not points.

You can write to following ids for queries:
customer.care@icicibank.com
ishopsupport@reward360.in

Have people received the Joining benefits of 12,500 points?
I'm planning to take this card, but on multiple people have raised queries on not receiving the same!
Normally it is credited 45th day from payment of bill in which fees is charged. I did not get any welcome benefits. I called customer care and got three mails 2 giving Taj membership and eazydiner membership code, which worked and third mail said point will come in 45 days but still did not get. Again I had to call customer care and they said they have rectified and will be credited 5th day from next bill payment which I did get finally. It seems that welcome benefits thing is little buggy it for some reason fails for few people to automatically trigger benefits.

Its all happening due to launch of iShop and ICICI changing its reward policies.
Till iShop settles down, even normal/base rewards would be rough.

Yesterday statement was generated and it shows RP earned during month. Well certainly some major ishop bonus rewards are credited but not able to reconcile any permutation. If I calculate Feb Mar ishop, it is much more and if I consider April also it is much less!! Ab kaise pata kare. That CVV route is even more mysterious. Hai koi tarika figure out karne ka

Customer care. I got to know from them for Feb txns....

Also probably there's a chance maybe not all points for april are credited 🤔.

After spending several hours last weekend, I finally pacified myself with:
All reward points till last statement generated (8th April) are in CVV path. Opening Balance + Earned during the month.
There are extra 504 points which I should treat as bonus. 🥳

My recent statement for EPM got generated a day back. Spent a bit of time doing reconciliation, can confirm that all pending accelerated RPs earned on iShop since Feb (including last completed bill cycle) have been added. The numbers do add up. Sadly no separate section for accelerated RPs on the statement yet, but things do look much more positive now. Hopefully, ICICI adds this in the next couple of bill cycles.

These RPs haven't been credited though, I didn't check when it happened last month but I'm certain it was credited before I cleared the bill so I'm expecting it to get credited within two weeks.

Friends, pls enlighten if anyone has already tried this -

I know that the Apay, bb etc vouchers are capped at the account level which I believe is primary card account. If the add-on card holder, holding a separate account with ICICI, logs into iShop with his/her credentials and use add-on card to buy additional capped vouchers beyond the cap which primary credit has already hit for, say ,Amazon gift card.

Will there be an issue such as addon card not being allowed beyond the primary card holder’s voucher capping?

If add-on is able to buy beyond the capping given s/he has separate credentials for ishop, Will additional bonus points be credited as a part this addon purchase?

Any clue?

Don't think so. As per my "X", add-on card shows in the account of primary card holder only. Don't think separate login will work.

Afaik my limited knowledge, when we shop we have to select to redeem if we want to now idk if this is the theory but it's just my assumption that select option is to use or get points in the card.

Although if anyone's willing to sacrifice 2.95% to try this add-on trick then there will be a sure answer. So till then no surety.

Yes it may not display the card with add-on’s card holders login (which is his/her ICICI account login) but then it may not be even needed because when you check out only then you would enter the card details regardless of the card it shows in your account.

EPM 21k monthly cap is only on accelerated points or includes base points as well? Is the cap by calendar month or billing cycle?

Effectively, assuming 6x spends on GVs, is the spend threshold 123,529 or 116,667?
