Compensation as per RBI

I have paid credit card bill of Rs100 on mobikwik through my Sbi debit card on 3 Sept to sbi credit card but the payment failed at mobikwik end. So mobikwik initiated refund of that transaction and on 9 Sept I received 100 rs refund. But as per RBI guidelines banks have to pay rs 100 compensation per day for the delay in refunding the transaction made using debit card if not refunded within T +5 days and my transaction got refunded on 6th day. So my question is will sbi give 100 rs compensation? And to whom I mail for that rs 100?

Do you think, SBI will honour this easily?😐

Though, try using its escalation matrix and see what happens.

If you won't get compensated through escalation matrix and
want to proceed further,
document all proofs and then raise complaint to RBI BO.

SBI be like: Bhaiya jee thoda galti se mistake ho gaya, 8th Sep tak thoda kadak launch chal raha tha naa hamare yaha toh 9 Sep ko refund gaya, ab compensation leke launch kiye huwe bhi ulti karwaoge kya, 1 din ka itna bada saja ?😂

This happens when you trust NBFC or third party app more than a PSU Bank. Canara BBPS is working smoothly on the other hand.

btw, are you really going to escalate the issue for ₹100?

1) I think you should ask for compensation, it doesn't matter if it's ₹100 or ₹10000000. If you pay your credit card bill ₹.0001 less, do you think the bank will leave you without recovering late fees+interest+gst+x fees+y fees+z fees.

2) I don't know the process, there are knowledgeable people in this forum who can help you.

If you have a good payment history bank will always consider and reverse charges. ICICI once reversed 10K+ charges when I made payment to the wrong card by mistake. HSBC, Citi, Kotak everyone reversed charges when I made an occasional payment 2 days late (before the RBI guideline for 3 days grace came in)

U had mentioned this previously as well with year (I don't remember), again I say, at that time also, there was the existence of RBI's guidelines.

I think he needs to contact DC/banking department instead of CC, because he had mentioned ⏬
