I don't prefer the BSBDA account mainly due to limitations. Is there any specific reason for opening the account?

Just thought of BSBDA opening account in any foreign banks like DBS where normal savings account we have to maintain big amount for 1lakh.
No need of PSU banks.

Only PSU will entertain you for opening the BSBDA. Private banks these days aren’t opening account with 10K MAB let alone the BSBDA, & if you have to, you will have to fight a long battle via email to head, DM via X etc. in order to get it done.
Do remember if you want to open with a private bank you'll have to do multiple escalations : (

If they do (and if at all you want to go with private bank) go with HDFC! (taking main motive as acquiring cards)
because ICICI is not worth for any offer and axis gives consolidated charges alert!
Rest PSU services you know very well!

Can also look at IDFC PRATHAM/FUTURE FIRST account!

If you open a Bob LITE Saving Account, you'll get a Rupay Platinum Card. It's a zero-balance savings Account, so you don't need to maintain any Balance.
Cons: It has Annual Debit Card Charges but if you maintain 3000INR then no worries. Read the T&C.
For BSBDA, Open a normal account in any Bank with a deposit of a minimal amount after getting a Card/Cheque Book just request them to convert it to BSBDA.
Previously I had good accounts in BOB, AXIS, ICICI but due to Loan/Insurance calls I requested them to convert it to Zero account now I'm not getting any calls but I have better debit cards with offers.

Should we have multiple BSBDA accounts? Each BSBDA account in each bank?
Its all luck.
I first opened bob bsbda in 2014.
Then hdfc bsbda in 2017.
I tried icici bsbda in 2018,it showed you already have 1bsbda account in their tablet.
So idea how this works

Banks gives you better savings accounts at Zero Balance which is better than BSBDA.
