Battle of Benefits: BOB RuPay Select vs. BOB EMT RuPay Platinum Debit Cards Which one to choose?

Status
The first post in this thread is a WikiPost, and can be edited by anyone with the appropriate permissions.
The benefits offered by the Bank of Baroda RuPay Select Debit Card (RSDC) significantly outweigh those of the EMT RuPay Platinum Debit Card. On average, RSDC provides annual rewards valued at over ā‚¹18,000, compared to approximately ā‚¹7,500 for the EMT RuPay Platinum card.

Given the annual fees associated with both cards, the benefits far exceed the costs, making them highly valuable depending on individual preferences and spending patterns. Choosing the right card ultimately depends on personal needs and lifestyle. Most consumers aim to offset the annual fee through rewards and bonuses, with any additional perks serving as extra value.

Both the cards FYF with BOB Super Savings Account. If you need both cards then get the RSDC first then the EMT one as a few TF members reported they are not getting the Select DC option after getting the EMT one.

Avoid falling into the trap of acquiring both cards out of fear of missing out (FOMO) just because others are doing so. Evaluate your personal needs before deciding. I use both cards because I can effectively offset the annual fees and earn rewards that far exceed the associated costs.

BOB EMT DC Detailed Thread by @Abhishek012
Excellent Comparison. @Anindya98
However, I feel prices are inflated.
I can not comment on EMT Rupay, but after doing a little research, in my view fair prices and final benefits offered by Rupay Select would be as follows:

Cost-Benefit Analysis of Rupay Select Debit Card

OTT: Amazon Prime Full Edition costs 1499.
Fair Price: 1200 x 1 = 1200

Spa: 1500 Lakme Saloon Voucher per Quater total worth 6000.
Fair Price: 700 x 4 = 2800

Health Check-Up: The tests mentioned in the package with offers costs 1050 per quarter, so the total cost of 4200.
Fair Price: 700 x 4 = 2800

Gym Access: 1 Month Elite Pass Subscription at discounted prices worth 1500. Total 6000
Fair Price: 800 x 4 = 3200

Cab Services: 100 OLA/Uber Voucher, Total 400
Fair Price: 75 x 4 = 300

(Excluding golf benefits as most people won't use that one.)

Total Benefits: 18,000
Actual Benefits: 10,300

Annual Fees: 500 + GST = 590 (for most of banks 1000+GST = 1180)
Interest loss (compared with FD) due to maintenance of 20,000 balance = 20,000 x 3.5 = 700

So, Net Cost = 1300
Net Benefits = (10,300 ā€“ 1,300) = 9,000 (Approx.)

Using all benefits every time/ quarter may not be required/ feasible.
Hence, I think Final benefits would be about 50% of net benefits i.e., 4500.

Card is FYF with Super account (20k maintenance) but,
No need to maintain 20k for whole year. 2 quarter is enough, downgrade post that.

Both debit cards even available with 1/2K maintenance account also (Advantage)

It's upto you.
