Best possible redemption options for Amex card rewards

I have the Amex Trifecta (MRCC, Platinum Travel, and Gold) and have been using them extensively to maximize reward points through milestone benefits. I’m creating this post to discuss the best redemption options for these Amex Membership Reward Points.

Top Redemption Options:​

1️⃣ Marriott Bonvoy – Transfer points at a 1:1 ratio and enjoy luxurious Marriott hotel stays. Ideal for frequent travelers who prefer high-end accommodations.

2️⃣ Cathay Pacific Asia Miles – Transfer at a 2:1 ratio and get a return ticket from Delhi to Hong Kong for ~50K points (plus taxes).
✈️ Hack for lower taxes – Instead of booking directly via Cathay Pacific, redeem Asia Miles through Qatar Airways. This reduces taxes significantly, though the mileage requirement increases slightly from 50K to 52K points.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder

What might be best for one might not be the case for some other person who’s not into it. That said no doubt that travel specific redemption gives best bang for the buck for travellers. The beauty of Amex is its versatility in providing non-travel redemption options as well. I hold two trifectas within family and yet there have been sometimes where we have simply redeemed for Flipkart/Amazon vouchers. From that point my best redemption till date has been redeeming Apay vouchers against subscription of an online marketplace/aggregator annual subscription. Recouped the subscription cost within 3 months from the business obtained through it.

I know it’s apples and oranges to compare ROI obtained vs experience from a travel but it’s my take from the highest value derived out of a redemption.

For me MB always that too with 30% bonus transfers but didn’t get offer this year
