With advice from @SSV & @Anupama_Jha, I reopened my HDFC journey after closing my Tata Neu Plus CC (74K limit) since they refused to upgrade it to Infinity or a core card. Got the 2nd-year fee waived with 87K spends but finally closed it in Jan 2025.

Opened a Max Savings Account on 24th March 2025, received all details the next morning, and the welcome kit was dispatched on 28/03/2025 - Delivered by 30/03/2025.

Welcome Kit Includes:

HDFC New Platinum DC
✅ Passbook
✅ 5 Leaves Cheque Book

However, they sent the New Platinum DC by default, which is pretty useless!
Now, I need to request the Millennia DC, but the upgrade section still shows Platinum DC along with Millennia & Business DC.

Is the Millennia DC free with the Max Savings account?
I plan to use this as a semi-primary account after IDFC.
Any suggestions on how to speed up the pre-approved offer?
My main goal is to secure an HDFC core card (Regalia Gold or above) as LTF with a good limit.
Millennia will not be useful for me as I hold SBI CB, ICICI Apay, and FK Axis.

Update(31-03-2025): Applied the Millennia DC

Suggestions are welcome! Share your journey on how you received the offer or the process you followed to get it.

I currently have three HDFC credit cards (LTF now).

1. Moneyback plus rupay
2. Swiggy MC
3. Tata neu Plus Rupay

My first credit card was a pre-approved offer from HDFC due to my salary account, despite having no CIBIL history. It was a MoneyBack Plus paid Mastercard with a ₹63,000 limit.

The limit was later increased to ₹71,000 after I purchased an AC worth ₹40,000 from Amazon.

Subsequently, I requested a lifetime free (LTF) conversion. After some back and forth, including a closure request email, I successfully got it converted to LTF. Later, I changed the Mastercard variant to RuPay.

At one point, I applied for the Tata Neu Plus card (First Year Free - FYF). I requested an LTF conversion, but it was rejected, so I chose to close the card.

Later, I applied for the Swiggy card (FYF) and eventually converted it to LTF.

After submitting my ITR, I requested a limit enhancement (LE), which increased my limit to ₹1.41 lakh. Following this, I applied for the Tata Neu Infinity FYF, but instead, I received the Neu Plus as a paid variant. Initially, they issued a paid version instead of FYF, and after a lot of back and forth, I managed to get it converted to LTF.

To be honest, I haven't used the Neu Plus card much—my total transactions on it are barely around ₹2,000. I primarily use my HDFC Swiggy and MoneyBack Plus cards during offers and occasionally for fuel payments.

I also had an HDFC RuPay UPI credit card (LTF), but I have since closed it as well.

Cibil is 1 year and 10 months old. Currently hold around 12 active CCs with cibil in between 782 and 792.

My Journey with HDFC so far:

September 2023: Received the HDFC IRCTC credit card (limit: just Rs. 37K).

January 2024: Opened SavingsMax account. MAB/MQB till January 2025: 40K-2L (mostly on the higher side), used Plat DC for 40K-75K each month for CC payments only (always felt it would be suboptimal to use DC for other things when better CCs are available). Was using the account as a primary account (NB, UPI transactions).

June 2024: Closed the IRCTC HDFC card due to low limit, no LEs despite high usage, and the core/co-branded policy of HDFC.

June 2024: Account enrolled into Classic banking.

End of January 2025: No pre-approved offers yet. Had very poor customer service experience with HDFC over the year. Decided it's not worth holding the account.

Start of February 2025: Transferred the balance to another account, stopped using the account completely (Balance in the account since then: ~Rs. 500). Approached the nearest branch for account closure but was asked to visit the home branch, which is in my hometown. Called RM, he too said I will have to visit the branch.

19th March: For the first time, received a pre-approved CC offer: DCP LTF with upto 1.8L limit (They have really given 1.8L limit). Took it considering all I want is just any core HDFC card. With SBI CB, ICICI Amazon and Axis FK cards, Millennia doesn't add much value for me.

Last week: Managed to visit the home branch in my howetown and closed the account.
