Smart buy is the only thing you are underestimating. Every month if you max out 15000 points, it beats diners by huge margin. If you have non smart buy spends and not much usage international spends, straight away go for diners. It's a no brainer.

Bro, I would suggest grab infinia. They are always changing upgrade criteria, so if they offer then grab it. You can extract more benefits after getting infinia.

I think its worth it. I have Infinia metal and still got EPM last year just because of welcome benefits. With iShop, its even better. Received 2 easemytrip vouchers as I ended up meeting spending milestones. Validity for vouchers is almost 2 years.
