Citi Prestige -> Axis Select is not a great option I guess. And coming to Magnus also both have difference of 10K in joining fees also.

Can someone tell which is the heaviest card out of all these? It seems all metal cards are not the same weight

For reference
Normal plastic cards are 5g, Axis Magnus is 12g, OneCard is 16g

I know Infinia is heavier than OneCard, but I'm curious which one is the heaviest and feels most premium
Kotak black is the most premium and beautiful card , but it's a debit card.

Surprising no one here mentioned the Indusind ā€œVistara Explorerā€ Visa Signature !!! It is issued in ā€œmetalā€ as well !! ā€¦

IndusInd Avios (Qatar & British Airways) and Vistara Explorer, both are in metal too!

I own a few from the list & have held few others in my hand, amongst all I have laid my hand on, I will say the IndusInd Vistara Explorer ā€œfeelsā€ the heaviest ! I will get a scale and post the weight here !

Agreed! Explorer definitely feels heavier than most cards, especially magnus šŸ˜‚

Was it offered to you as LTF?

Yeah, people who say Sbi aurum, Amex plat charge, Citi prestige, Axis reserve is heavy should hold the IndusInd Vistara explorer to actually realise how heavy that card actually is ... It will easy "over" 18g !

But why do you have that card? šŸ¤”
Was it offered to you as LTF?
Nope it was not. However, I do a lot of spending on IndusInd cards.

Why I got the card :- (Welcome benfits)
I was offered an "upgrade" from the "LTF Pinnacle" to Vistara Explorer for 10K initiation fee + GST & I gladly accepted. I got the Welcome benefit of 1 business class ticket + the Vistara Gold class status F.Y + 2 upgrade vouchers as welcome benefit.

Milestone benefits :-
I, shifted some spends from all of my other card on to this card & achieved the 15L mile stone in 8 months. 5 more business class tickets already credited along with almost 12,725 CV points till date, all for 11.8K incl GST.

Other benefits:
BOGO upto 700 X 2 a month = 1,400 a month (Covers one of your Gold class tickets most times), 4 X International lounge access a quarter, NO Over limit Fee (though it is not advisable to go over limit on your card), 0% INTERNATIONAL MARK-UP & few others.

So, Of course it is not for everyone, but if you're a high roller & spending at least 15L a year, like to travel & have international spends, this card is rewards you handsomely. Though Indusind downgrade the Vistara Gold status second year onwards, but the rest of the perks & the % return outweighs this.

Just to add, I'm try to negotiate with IndusInd to make it LTF / Waive off the second year fee, which they are refusing despite several negotiations over emails & calls.

So, I took the gamble & asked them to downgrade the card "saying it is useless to me", they came back to me saying they can give me Avios BA / Qatar FYF & I politely declined, then they "even" offered me the
"Indulge" (I have 4.32 Limit with InusInd & Not the 5L floor limit required for this card) with 45K Initiation fee & 50K vouchers against it, with LTF free card (NO annual fee), again I declined. I have asked them either for unconditional "LTF Indulge" (with 0 Joining fee) or SYF Vistara Explorer, awaiting a response now.

Wow. Just curious, for same amount on Magnus you couldā€™ve got 4.2L points and fee waiver for next year. Even if just talk about Vistara business class, these points are equivalent to 20 business class tickets. And not forgetting miles are much more flexible than just business class from Vistara šŸ˜…

Well that will only comes in to the equation if axis would approve me for a card, which they are not šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Just curious to know why you want to convert vistara card to LTF ?
11800 for a complementary Business class is not bad.
Converting a vistara card from any bank to LTF simply beats the purpose of having a vistara card in the first place.

Most of my travel is international, however; IndusInd did not have the QR Avios back then otherwise would have taken that.

The milestone benefits still got me 5 complementary J class for the first & thatā€™s more than enough for me as I donā€™t travel domestic much but when I do, I like the J class experience.

Also, the 2X2 ā‚¹3000 ED voucher code (1 primary + 1 add-on) half yearly along with ā‚¹700 BOGO BMS seemed a good value, though CV gold tier downgrade from the S.Y was was a bummer.

However after Avios Infinite was launched, this seems the more obvious choice as it suits my lifestyle better, hence the pressure tactic to either convert Vistara to LTF or offer FYF Avios in lieu (I do not want to pay the 40K joining fee again). However, NO luck yet !
