TF Buzz
Recently I had a trip to Thailand, I was very confused about choosing a card to carry. In the market, there are various options like NiyoGlobal, Bookmyforex, Ixigo AU, Scapia, and Bank Forex card(HDFC multi currency etc.). But I choose Indusind signature debit card. I have applied for an IndusInd exclusive savings account(1L MAB/0 MAB for Pinnacle cc holders which I hold) that makes my debit card free from annual charges. It has 0 forex charge and the best part is 0 ATM withdrawal fee.

Experience:

- If you are a budget traveler, always carry cash whenever possible, as you will not find POS machines in budget places like restaurants, hotels, and tour agencies (e.g., Phi Phi, James Bond).
- Thailand has 7-11 stores almost everywhere, and POS is available there, but min bill amount needs to be 200 BAHT.
- Indusind signature debit card gave me almost the same exchange rate that you see on Google with 0 forex.
- 0 ATM withdrawal fee is real, 220 BAHT will be charged by ATM, no charge by Indusind bank, which is unreal. For other cards available in market it will 220 BAHT + Card charges (Ex: 200 BAHT +Niyoglobal charge 425 RS+ GST)

Conclusions:
If you are traveling to a cash-heavy country like Thailand, always choose a card that has no fees or lower charges for cash withdrawals.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

There are Krungsri bank ATMs where you can withdraw 30000 baht at one time. Other bank ATMs have lower withdrawal limit for a single transaction. Now all bank ATMs in Thailand have this 220 baht withdrawal fees.
