0 Gross salary is diplayed while filing ITR 2

I am a salaried employee with some capital gains. When I started filing ITR 2 , I see that Salary in schedule salary is showing as 0. Ideally It should fetch original salary from form 16/AIS but It is not coming that way. Has anyone faced the same error? 1719829535875.png

Auto populating/mapping of all relevant fields is NOT fully error-free - as indicated by the ITD. They suggest that we should first download TRACES/AS26, AIS and TIS - check each head BEFORE we start the work on ITRs. Compute accurately AND then file the applicable ITR.

Known issue. I faced this last year. However it's correctly populated on ITR 1.
You can manually update and submit. It's totally fine.

I had a similar issue with Capital Gains - it was reported as 0 by default for both STCG and LTCG. I couldn't edit it.

I've asked a CA friend to look into it.

on this note; just a query.
did anyone started receiving refunds? I have filled around mid-June.
Yes. Filed five returns (all family members) by the end of May/early June. For four of them, the returns are already assessed, 143(1) sent over email, and returns received (credited in the respective bank A/cs) over a week back.

ITD does not auto populate STCG and LTCG in ITR. You have to manually fill those details.
I understand. I did try to edit the section, but I wasn't allowed to do that. I checked a tutorial video, and there was definitely a discrepancy in my portal - I wasn't allowed to edit.

My salary and declarations (80c, 80eea, 80D etc) made in my company are not automatically fetched while filing in itr-2. My salary given in my company is as per declarations made by me but those is not reflecting while filing my itr. Should i claim those declarations again while filing itr ?

Data shown in Form 16, AS26 and AIS are relevant. Auto fetching may or may not work.
