1cr FD in hdfc is losing a lot of money u could have used in gold etf , mutual fund , house and u would have earned more than a silly credit card bro. If u have surplus then it's ok

Has it occurred to you that the person might already have substantial investments in all the sectors you have mentioned as well as allocations in FDs? I have several crores in FDs in addition to investments in real estate, stocks, bonds, gold and so on. FDs have to be a part of the portfolio. So this blind hatred of FDs in wrong. A person having 50 or 100 crores isn’t going to invest all in stocks. Capital preservation is more important.
I am glad HDFC has brought in this option. A couple of years ago, I kept a similar amount with them but they refused to issue even the Milennia to me.
