10k Amex Taj Voucher - Redemption Query (can i book online-member rate?)

Hi i have 2 queries :
1. i have an Amex 10K taj voucher. can i book on their website tajhotels.com , Book a member rate and can use the 10K voucher while checking out ?
(i read somewhere that i need to call them and book ). can't i book online ?
2. How many vouchers can i use while checking out . As i am planning to stay for 2 nights.. it is going over 18K.. Can i use another voucher as well ? anyone know this?

You can't book member rate. Book through the hotel and inform them that you will use voucher for payment

I had recently visited Taj Wayanad for a 2 night stay at member rates. I had 24k collection voucher as well as Amex 10k voucher.
24k collection voucher as well as vouchers purchased from gyftr was accepted but the property denied to redeem Amex 10k voucher. Subsequently had to convert the 1 night member rates to standard rates to avail the 10k Amex voucher.

From my experience redemption against online booking is a hit or miss. At one property it went through whereas at another it dint so I would say if you intend to redeem your vouchers fully without any kind of risk then make a reservation by dropping a mail to the respective property clearly mentioning your intention to pay for the booking through voucher. The 10k Taj voucher condition states requirement to book through reservations but is silent with respect to standard or member rates.

It really depends on the person at the counter I guess. In my experience,I have been able to combine both offers. It was a stay of around 2.5 days. The voucher was deducted from the total bill 24 -> 14K

Yes you can book on member rate and redeem when you check in you need to inform at front desk. I always do the same . You can use any number of vouchers and any extra pay by card.

Can be paid by voucher. Say you have 25k Taj voucher your room rent is for 2 days 10k each when u r total bill comes to 25k inclusive of tax you can pay by voucher. No issue everytime I pay too. But inform them you have voucher when you checkin and they will take your voucher number and redeem it at checkin itself. ANY EXTRA YOU SPEND ON DINING apart from room rent also u can pay by voucher if it exceeds your 25k voucher amount pay balance by card

Booking ke time nahi batane ka kya???? I meant online obviously members rate looks cheap but then voucher use hoga ki nahi vo phele se check nahi kar sakte on phone at hotel reservations desk???

The 10 k amex voucher is not easy to use.best way is to pool ur vouchers contact the property and then book.otherwise hassle at checkout.
Amex travel concierge also is helpful.

To use it you can inform them when your checkin time. If you have booked on member rate some times they refuse, mostly I have been successful to redeem it on member rate too. Sofar it has been successful. If the y refuse you can still use it for food and beverages which will get deducted on your final bill. You can show them you have voucher and they will redeem it straight away and adjust it with the bill whatever extra you pay by cash debit or credit card.
Nothing to worry it can be redeemed at hotel.
