Can Taj Voucher earned as bonus rewards from Amex Platinum Travel Credit Card be used for having lunch/dinner at Taj Hotels without staying in the hotel?

You can club Taj Experience vouchers with AMEX Taj Vouchers at the checkout.

My theory, yet to try:
I'd say planning will help a lot. Members' rate is usually cheaper than the standard rate. You can book a few nights with member's rate and use Taj Experience vouchers for these nights. Maybe booking via MMT will be cheaper + Atlas, idk. An alternative option is to use TravelEdge using m4b. For the remaining nights, book with the standard rate and use AMEX Taj vouchers.

Taj chikmaglur you mean gateway hotel? Do they accept taj voucher given by amex?

They did when I stayed there in Feb 2023, I can't say on today's situation.

The voucher cannot be used for bookingsmade on (1) discounted and closed user group rates such as Taj InnerCircle Members Special rates, American ExpressCard member rates, Marketing Alliances rates, Negotiated rates of Corporate companies, Friends and Family rates,and Employee rates (2) bookings made via travel websites or a third party, bookings made via tour operators andtravel agents on their contracted rates, and travel-industry staff rates (3) bookings made for groups, conferences,weddings and events (4) bookings on airline staff and crew rates.

Recently I stayed in Taj Westend on shareholder voucher.. and they did ask if I have amex voucher so they xan redeem it. But I have also used these vouchers on member rates too for since 2021.. some may decline but so far I have redeemed it on memeber rates except last month which I used it on shareholder voucher...

Now, Taj have become stricter on this, So it will be hit or miss if are trying with Amex taj vouchers on discounted rates.

You can book but mention pay at hotel and when you checkin mention you have voucher they will accept it as advance by redeeming it. I always fo this no issue at all. And if you have Epicure stay voucher you can book it dir3ctily by clicking redeem voucher but will be on best available rate whether your member or not . I somehow had managed to book on member rate. Last time I booked on best available rate as if you use member rate and also use discount coupon from Epicure it is like double dipping... sometimes u r lucky sometime not.

Also check dates when you want to travel once u click the date a calender date window opens with prices for dates on it forward and see for two months if u can find best rates. Normally one would find best rates lower on weekdays weekend it is luck

Yes you can I just stayed 2 days you can book theough Epicure stay voucher and use amex voucher for food and spa
