Credit card bill payment via Mobikwik earns 2% cashback points on SCB Visa Infinite Priority Debit Card.

I have paid over 3 lakhs in 4 days and got 2% points.
This debit card is offered free for SCB priority accounts.
Unlike HDFC there is no capping AFAIK. There is a daily limit on Mobikwik on transactions for CC bill payment.

Exclusions:
Effective 1 April 2021, spends made on your debit cards on certain Merchant Categories will not earn reward points (“Excluded Merchant Categories”). Excluded Merchant Categories like Mutual Funds, Insurance and Insurance Premium, Railways, Government payments, payments towards Schools, Financial Services including credit card balance payment, loan payment, etc.For Merchant Category Codes of the Excluded Merchant Categories, please click here.

Is this still valid ? Will I not get reward points on paying via sc billpay?
I have the priority debit card but never knew this hack. I know the reward point value is around 40p. looking for rewarding ways to pay hdfc cc bill.

Same here.. any other ways to pay HDFC cc bills to get cash back which do not involve mobikwik?

And, now with all the recent devaluations what's the best way to get rewards on income tax payments by credit cards too??

@drakesri Is this still working? After the demise of Unipay I can try to get SC Visa Infinite debit card if it rewards for CC payments.
Points value earned for transactions changed in 2024. Please look at the latest, it'll not be 2%. Further, points can only be redeemed within their rewards catalogue which has unattractive redemption options. Their priority visa infinite debit card is only offered to priority account holders which means parking 30L in some SC product, or 3LPM salary. They've become strict in enforcing it, and have one of the poorest customer care services.

Any idea how do we pay credit card bill, is it using SCB netbanking bill payment option like HDFC bill Pay?

For SC cards? Netbanking, IMPS/NEFT, Billdesk, cash/cheque...

Or are you asking where a payment needs to be made to earn points? The where part is not very clear. MobiKwik and several others used to give points and presumably still do. Debit card TnCs forbid credit card payment transactions to earn points, so presumably directly spending on any kind of billdesk won't earn points. It's really not worth the time or trouble. There are other TnCs. Do go through those and the rewards catalogue before deciding to use SC Priority Visa for CC payments.
