never good to use CC for upgrade only.. use if required / genuinely needed spends ONLY.. its not the other way round

You can manually requests bank, they were floor limits to upgrade the card.

I didn't.
As per my observations from many communities.

Using 2-3x limit once in 6 months increase chances of limit enhancement in HDFC. And maintain normal usage later months.

But as per the Infinia criteria you have to use 7.5l in 6 months to be eligible it is very much confusing.

First get eligible LE & then do eligible spends.

As per bank POV: if bank wants to give card with 16% reward rate, bank would also want to see if you're high spender so they can earn from you.

Someone got infinia pre-approved offer with less limit too.

Yes, when my limit was 350k, I had made some purchases totaling 285k, 3 months later I received a LE to 560k and also upgrade from Regalia First LTF to Regalia LTF.

Yes it helps with LE but not cc upgrade in HDFC. Multiple tf member and bank officials have said this. But pay before bill generation. When is your bill due date?
HDFC report to cibil in month end. So better to pay some amount by then and rest by bill generation such that due is <25-30% or CL. It will show that you are not credit hungry. Even through your usage is high, you know how to manage it.
Con is if you are doing rotation using wallet load/rent or business transactions, there is much higher chance of getting flagged.
P.s. this method doesn't work in axis.
