Aadhaar UPI for PNB

Yes, it does. Last week generated for someone. But for people with account age 70 years, not possible. Somehow banks are harrassing sr. citizens while giving everything to junior citizens.

Any idea why it doesn't work for me?
Is aadhaar seeded in bank? What error you get while generating it with Aadhaar option? Pls share something so that I can look into what is the problem.

The Aadhaar registered mobile number and bank registered mobile number should be same to generate UPI PIN.

If problem persisting even after having correct info. de-seeding and re-seeding will help. 🙂

1. Aadhaar and Bank Mobile no are same.
2. Aadhaar is registered with the bank (opened last year so impossible to open an account without aadhaar/PAN)
3. No aadhaar is not seeded. I mean I am not using PNB for DBT benefit so I didn't seed it and I don't want to change my cureent NPCI mapping. (I hope that's what you mean by aadhaar seeding)
4. Error I get is 'Aadhaar not registered with account'

Is aadhaar seeding necessary for this to work? I mean I haven't done aadhaar seeding for other banks ever and they work for aadhaar upi

Also thanks for your support. Really appreciate it. It has been bugging me for a long time.

Yes, Aadhaar seeding is necessary as without it how it will fetch your account and generate pin using aadhaar if it is not there and seeding aadhaar with account doesn't mean your DBT will change. While seeding ask bank to uncheck DBT option.

Opening account with Aadhaar doesn't mean your aadhaar will be seeded to that account automatically. You always have to manually link it later if option wasn't checked while opening account online.

What should I do?
Get it seeded for sometime or else go to bank to get it linked and there they have option to deselect DBT. You can go back to your original bank later. Say if you have ICICI Bank they allow it from Netbanking and your account will again attached for DBT to ICICI. But be sure your Bank has DBT request in Netbanking menu.

Here is PNB own link to seed Aadhaar. They don't register for DBT.

I have tried this link in the past but it did nothing. I mean Aadhaar UPI is still not working.

Can I do this

1. Seed PNB via NPCI portal. I hope aadhaar UPI will work after it's successful.

2. Wait for a week or two and seed my HDFC account again via NPCI.

(NPCI seeding has option to move from one bank ac to another ac)

Will this work? Please dont mind my questions. I just dont wanna break anything and get extra headache thats all. Thanks for your patience.

@desiviru, unfortunately neither the NPCI nor the PNB portal work for seeding. Wny do these guys keep defunct services up is beyond me...

Go to any PNB branch and they will help you out. Find the person with tab. 🙂
@desiviru , Thank you so much. I tried one last time on NPCI mapper before heading out to the branch, and although NPCI gave a vague error after generating the request. I can see PNB account on the Aadhaar portal, and now Aadhaar UPI is working just fine. Thank you so much for all your help.
