Both are possible. With app you can’t pay taxes and only in multiples of 2k points. Offline you can pay taxes and pay in multiple of 1k points after 2k.

Same here. Can't see book by points for Mumbai hotels at the payment page. Though in the room details it mentions clearly that one can redeem points.
