ACE Credit Card Application Temporarily Stopped

I tried to apply for ACE via phone banking (already have another axis card), they said ACE credit card application is temporarily closed and then I tried online, there also they're not even showing the ACE card option in the final choice page.
@TechnoFino do you have any news regarding this ?

Customer care also straight away denies Ace applications/upgrades etc.

This is true since last 2-3 months, however, some people are still getting ace, I do not know how. Maybe those are old applications or old stock or w/e the case, Axis is not offering ace to me.

I got it during feb last week. Actually someone from the branch where i have axis account called me about pre-approved neo card offer without any documents( i already have flipkart one). When i shown interest, she asked to apply through the axis mobile app and the app was showing several few cards apart from neo, like magnus, ace and some other as well. For some reason she was insisting to go for neo saying i'm eligible for that only, but i was not convinced and tried ace option, it went through without any issues.

No, All my axis cards are paid variant 🙁 FK, ACE and Airtel. But as long as if we get cashback more than 500, then we dont have to bother on LTF right?

True, but with LTF cards you don't need to bother about annual fee as well. But from speaking with friends who have Axis cards, they are very reluctant to convert your cards to LTF until you basically tell them to cancel your card as a last resort and then they'll try everything to retain you as their customer. Then you need to shoot your shot.

Difference is, I also have freecharge plus CC, which costs only 350 and waiver is at 50k yearly spending, while that is doable with just my utility bills and minor zhol zhal, axis ace requires me to spend 2 lacs to get it waived off. And its highly unlikely that I would spend more than 1 lacs on Axis ace when we already have lot of other CC's for different kind of shopping 🤣

We are basically spoilt by having too much.

Anyways, another reason I asked is because I also got FK one like that, it was LTF though. Just like you I had also scrolled, there were other like Neo, myzone and Indian oil ones which were also available to me for LTF at that time, but axis ace was not LTF, so I clicked on FK one. Lady who contacted me also insisted on FK one too. I thought 1.5% for free vs 2% for 500+gst on all other sends is a decision only worth taking if I can spend more than 1 lacs and in best case scenario more than 2 lacs in a year. Only that way I could make the difference of 500+gst 🤣

Please excuse, I'm very kanjush, especially when I have to pay banks for their services 🤭

No, axis does that to every new CC, they want you to forget about these joining benefits. I had to contact them for my joining/activation benefit of freecharge plus card back in Dec 2021 too. Even after stipulated period I also didn't get anything, after contacting them they did give it to me though.

Axis Ace CC is NOT discontinued. It is being issued from GPay App. It is being issued via Axis Mobile App as a card upgrade. And if you get a call from the Axis Bank Sales team about preapproved cc, then you can try pressing them to give Axis Ace CC. You will get it.

However, if you yourself approach Axis Bank (via any channel) and ask for Ace CC, they will deny the existence of it, and not entertain you at all.

Reminds me of the famous Double Slit Experiment of Modern Physics:
Light displays the properties of both waves and particles at the same time. However, if you try to check on it yourself, it will show only particle nature.

Axis is playing the same game... issuing Ace CC by themselves... however if you ask for it... nope we don't have it. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yes, had this same experience.

Looks like RBI needs to pass some rules based on Axis behavior and apply them to all banks, without calling them out directly, like what they did recently 🤣

It is invite only. Your second best bet is Freecharge plus CC, which you can get easily if you have freecharge app or any other axis card.

when the ace card was first launched in Q4 2020 IIRC, I was given an invitation in gpay but I was stupid enough not to realise it's big potential and did not accept it, now I don't get the invitation anymore.
freecharge never used actually so it's a long road.

Freecharge I had also never used, I only installed and I got offer for CC. It depends if you have pre-existing axis relationship or not. If you have bank account of some decent variant, you will get freecharge plus very easily.

Also, you can apply for freecharge one vai card to card, as I've come to know from someone. But you need cooperation from person who contacts you for document verification.
