Advice Needed! Axis is not providing Welcome Bonus

So, I got the Samsung Infinite Card on 4th December 2024. This was the second time I got this card and Axis refused to credit the 30k reward points as the welcome benefit. I logged a complaint with customer care but they told me that according to MITC, welcome bonus is provided only once in lifetime for a card.

Fortunately, I found the MITC from 10th December 2024 on archive.org https://web.archive.org/web/2024121...efault-document-library/mitc-credit-cards.pdf and there is no mention of the said policy.

I emailed my RM to get me the MITC from the time my card was activated but there has been pin drop silence.

Now, I want to know, how should I proceed? Should I write to PNO or RBI Ombudsman for this?

Yes... Once in a lifetime policy was introduced by Axis...no welcome bonus again and again. You can do google search on it and you will find relevant articles... There some threads on this forum too and discussions specifically on Samsung Infinite card which people were exploiting due to this welcome bonus bug. It has been patched now

@sourpai There is no issue with Axis introducing new policy, but they cannot apply a policy retrospectively. This is illegal.
I think new policy came into effect before your card was approved / delivered. You can check on that. If that is not the case, then you can fight it out with PNO on the argument that your card was delivered before policy came into effect

I am in the same boat as you are. I have taken the card for the second time in Nov'24 and had emailed to PNO and they have replied that they cannot give 30,000 bonus points. I will email to MD desk to check their reply before complaining with RBI ombudsman.

Can you please share this MITC as pdf with me. I am not able to convert this into pdf.

According to my knowledge If you apply for same card which was you closed earlier. You are not getting joining benefits again..

Yep even customer care told you, If you apply same card in future, you ll not get joining benefits again. when you request cancellation
