I have seen some discussions about card blocking but let me pick 2 mostly used ones
1) People who want Rupay platinum card need to block existing debit card
2) People who upgrade to HDFC Savings Max blocks existing debit card and get Platinum debit card for free
Now I think if many people are doing/have done this then what happens to the blocked card number?
Will those card numbers never be re-issued to other customers?
Does these blocked cards can be reactivated again by same user?
Can we throw away such blocked cards or keep it with us?
