After Vistara card devaluation - need suggestions on a do-it-all card

Hi everyone

Few months back I was considering changing up my cards to aim at getting travel related rewards and I had been quite happy with my setup so far. Here's my current setup:

1. Amex Plat Travel - use for 4L and store (as soon as it's renewed I use it for 2 categories that other cards never give benefits on - tax payments and gold).
2. Amex MRCC & Gold Charge - Just use them for the 1.5k x 4, 1k x 6 and 20k monthly milestones and keep them aside.
3. IDFC Vistara - For everything else (day to day card) along with any tax payments or any high value purchases (after Plat's 4L is exhausted).

Besides this, I have 3 cards that I find quite useful:

1. Swiggy HDFC - everytime I order from swiggy which is quite a lot
2. SBI CB - Love the cashback on places where I don't use the Vistara and have already gotten the fee waived so didn't care to close it.
3. Neu Plus - For all UPI purchases - not happy with the rewards but I don't have any better card for UPI.

Besides this, I have a few cards that I hardly use and have only kept for niche categories:

1. Marriott bonvoy card - welcome and renewal benefits are good as well as lounge access.
2. Indusind EazyDiner card - got it for the welcome benefit and use it for all eating outside activies - I think it is immense value everytime I go out to eat.

Now the issue: IDFC card is not going to renewed according to this thread and that means I don't have a do-it-all card anymore. Moreover, I have already hit the 9L milestone in the card and within a few days I will hit the 12L milestone. After that the card is as good as thrown away.

I have a big purchase coming up in about ~15 days and my plat travel will be renewed right before so I will be using it there. But this also means I will almost hit 4L in plat travel within 7 days of renewal.

However, my annual expenses have increased and I am fairly sure I will be spending ~20L in a year (consider all small and major purchases and I try to put everything on the card).

So now I need a new do-it-all card that will be give me rewards on tax payments (should be near 5L in a year), gold purchases (should be ~4L in a year) and everything else (forex should be ~4L or more).

I thought of getting Atlas to make it the new do-it-all card Axis keeps on declining the card so I am tired of trying to get it.

I would love to hear suggestions on which cards I should pursue or portfolio of cards.

Here's the expected expenses in the coming FY for me:

1. ~10L in travel (flights/stays)
2. ~5L or more in forex - I have the Mayura that I got for the lounge benefit as I was desperate to get a zero-forex card before my last international trip
3. ~4.5L in rent
4. ~8L in annual day-to-day expenses
5. ~5L in gold etc.

I have an upcoming trip planned late May where I will be needing to spend ~6L or more just in Forex (at hotels, experiences, stuff I buy etc) thus I am kind of desperate to get a card before it's too late.

Ohh, and I also tried to get the Regalia Gold (through my RM) and I was told that I need to be physically present in my hometown to sign the form and I literally gave up. I am even considering shutting down that bank account as it doesn't seem to be good for anything.

I and my wife love to travel so cards that do give flight/stay rewards are the ones I am aiming for.

So far, I feel like AmEx has been really good with their rewards, the limit they have provided and overall experience and I am even considering going with the plat charge but then ~66k feels like a lot for a card (then there's the issue of convincing the wife about it).

Atlas is the best card for your requirements. If you can open premium axis account with decent IP, it will show up pre approved cards within a month of account opening. It will show up Atlas as well.

For your upcoming trip, there can be many ways to manage expenses, like using SBI cashback on klook gives straight 5% discount on top of Klook discounts etc... you wont need any card for experience bookings as such (giving this as one example)

I have been trying to get Atlas for a while now.

This time I applied with C2C (with AmEx) and the status is still showing as pending. It's been almost a month since I applied and more than 20 days since the KYC was done for it and document (AmEx statement was collected) but the status was showing as pending and I went ahead and sent the pno a mail telling them that I will reach out to Ombudsman if they don't give me an update.

Funny enough, I got a call today about it and the guy asked me the details of the process and said he will get back to me. Let's see what happens. Statement I provided has 6.8L limit so it should be good enough for C2C.

For the trip expenses, klook is not an option. For the stay, I will have to pay at the property directly with card (4 seasons) and for all the experiences, I will have to pay on arrival as well. There will likely be other places (shopping etc) where I will need to use the card so not sure which card I should go for.

The mayura card I have is okay but it's just that.
