Air India Maharaja Club Points Validity

Does this mean Air India Maharaja Club Points will never expire like United Miles?

They will never expire for "Active members".

What they consider active could be
- Taking a flight
- Redeeming points
- Earning points
- Transferring points

If you do any of these activities, your account will stay active and the points will keep getting extended.
If you don't, then they might expire.

(This is an expected list of activities, they might change based on the official announcement)

Practically i think points never expire now as the app says when you fly Air India, points get extended by 24 months. This is awesome

Yes it will get extended but to see travel voucher on needs to visit airindia.com on airindia mobile app it only shows upgrade voucher. Mine they trf and in silver status.

What is saw for travel voucher is validity is six months I could see mine has 6th nove 2024 to may 2025.upgrade voucher valid till july2025.

Does reward tickets count for extending validity of Maharaja points or we shall have to take revenue tickets. This point is not clear.

• Maharaja Points do not expire for active members. We’ll extend the expiry date for all your points by 24 months from the date of travel every time you take an Air India flight (not valid for Reward Flights).

For eg some of my points were set to expire in May 26 but I travelled 5th of this month the validity of points now stands 30 Nov 2026.

Air India has this awesome program of extending the reward points for 2years just by taking 1 flight which can even be a domestic one.

Any mode will work. I always purchased Air India tickets on 3rd parties owing to the discount they used to offer. Later, after the journey, I would add that trip to my Air India account and claim points retrospectively. That alone was sufficient.

I don't think there is any charges. U can trf your cc points to your AI but you need to register it first. I think u have hdfc icici and others as partners. I was hoping amex but it is not showing

It is not working this way now. I have taken multiple Flights last month but the point expiry remains same. Reason - I got the tickets from 3rd party. Based on your msg I checked the TnCs.
It seems the tickets are to be booked on airindia app or website with Cash or cash+points option.
