Airmiles & hotel points value

Marriott Hotel prices are much more than Accor, so you need to apply some amount of discounting to the revenue prices of Marriott.

Also Marriott requires 27500 to over 1 lakh points for 1 room night, which is really high compared to Accor.
Then the realistic point value of Marriott will be much much less, may be 30 to 40 paisa
I saw some good Marriott properties (online )in Dubai and, Bali, Thailand etc available at much lower points.
In india, point requirements is very high.

Your inputs please.

Dubai and Singapore. Both locations when I checked before my last trips, I was getting Marriott point value of 0.45 rupee per MR and that too without breakfast
Marriott reward booking don't provide breakfast unless u r a platinum member. U have to request the hotel while checking if they can provide free breakfast. The generally say yes if u have children's with you

45 Paisa is very very realistic. Claims of more than 1 rupee are not

Apart from the use cases mentioned by @sahilgulati5 For Mariott it’s relatively easy to accumulate points with more transfer partners and frequent purchase or transfer bonuses as compared to simply accor. That’s makes it more or less dynamic depending upon when and where one is redeeming those points. Relatively new properties of Mariott always take comparatively less points for redemption.

It's surprising to see people redeeming marriot points at 45p value.
That's like a complete waste.

I would never redeem marriot points for anything less than 85-90p.

PS - Have redeemed over a million Marriot points till date 😀
Kindly help us with the tips.

This shows how International airmiles are worth much less in India (for flights to and from India).

This is possibly because airfares from India are much lower than similar route airfares from USA and Europe.
(Lower airfares for Indians are due to lower purchasing power and lower cost of living in India, compared to developed countries.)

So these lower Air fares are partly offset by higher mile requirements (from rich Indians who have frequent flier miles).
This reduces the value of each airmile for flights to and from India.

First-time miles user:
I have a bunch of points in Atlas and MRCC, thinking of converting them to air miles for my upcoming travel to Malaysia from Chennai. What is the best way to transfer?

Please guide me
