But Amex itself values the Marriott point at 40 paisa, because they value their own MR points @40 paisa and give 1:1 transfer ratio for MarriottApprox .72 after adding forex charges and gst
I saw some good Marriott properties (online )in Dubai and, Bali, Thailand etc available at much lower points.Marriott Hotel prices are much more than Accor, so you need to apply some amount of discounting to the revenue prices of Marriott.
Also Marriott requires 27500 to over 1 lakh points for 1 room night, which is really high compared to Accor.
Then the realistic point value of Marriott will be much much less, may be 30 to 40 paisa
Marriott reward booking don't provide breakfast unless u r a platinum member. U have to request the hotel while checking if they can provide free breakfast. The generally say yes if u have children's with youDubai and Singapore. Both locations when I checked before my last trips, I was getting Marriott point value of 0.45 rupee per MR and that too without breakfast
And if you don't have children with you, what to do?Marriott reward booking don't provide breakfast unless u r a platinum member. U have to request the hotel while checking if they can provide free breakfast. The generally say yes if u have children's with you
pay for your breakfast 😉 😉 😉 !!And if you don't have children with you, what to do?
45 Paisa is very very realistic. Claims of more than 1 rupee are notDubai and Singapore. Both locations when I checked before my last trips, I was getting Marriott point value of 0.45 rupee per MR and that too without breakfast
Apart from the use cases mentioned by @sahilgulati5 For Mariott it’s relatively easy to accumulate points with more transfer partners and frequent purchase or transfer bonuses as compared to simply accor. That’s makes it more or less dynamic depending upon when and where one is redeeming those points. Relatively new properties of Mariott always take comparatively less points for redemption.Marriott Hotel prices are much more than Accor, so you need to apply some amount of discounting to the revenue prices of Marriott.

That's like a complete waste.
I would never redeem marriot points for anything less than 85-90p.
