Please know that they are asking whether it was done from your account and if you are the holder of the card specially if you are opting for the domestic lounge (Non-Premium one).With the Premium 080 lounge(above the ground level toward right side) they are not checking or asking much.

There is no such time limit, the codes are usually valid for 24 hrs or more
