Airtel Axis Incorrect cashback calculation. Need Guidance!!?

Hi TF Community, this is my first post here.

I recently got my Airtel Axis card delivered last month, and my first statement was generated on November 13th. While going through my transactions and the cashback calculations, I noticed something strange. The cashback amount calculated by the bank is significantly different from what I calculated on my Excel sheet.

I believe there might be an error in how the cashback was calculated. Has anyone else faced a similar issue with their cashback? I’ve attached my own calculations for reference and have also reached out to the bank for a detailed breakdown of their calculations.

If anyone here has experienced this or has insights on how they calculate cashback, I’d really appreciate your input. Also, if the issue doesn’t get resolved, does anyone know the best way to escalate this?

Looking forward to your suggestions and support!

Now I have pulled those transactions onto an excel. To see what cashback I should be getting.

Now although the cashback different is not off by that much but still its way far than anticipated.

Hey man, cashback won't be correct for 10% categories which is swiggy, Zomato and bigbasket 60% of the time. Sometimes they will credit it some months later.

I think Zomato cashback is usually credited 90% of the time but not swiggy and bigbasket.

I suggest you use this only for airtel and normal utility as that's the best purpose of this card.

I hope so they credit it later on as well. I have swiggy HDFC card LTF, the only problem is that it doesn't yield any cashback for transactions < 100₹. Now me being living alone in a tier-3 city, most of my orders go less than 100rs, and occasionally (less than 20-30%) of times they go above 100₹.

Just curious, won't the delivery fees be extremely high for <100 amount order ?

Usually I see better off order above 200 as delivery fees, small cart fee, platform fee, etc comes out to be Rs 60-70 in Hyderabad for around 3 km also

And here in my case, Axis is crediting Airtel Axis credit card cashback on December 8 and makes the entry on Axis app as December 9. They are literally time travelling.

Cashback is calculated as integer values only. Any fraction is ignored. Swiggy Instamart orders get 1% only and not 10%.
For the few orders I placed on swiggy via Airtel card, all got 10%, though in some cases inititally they gave 1% and then the balance as "adjustment" after 2 to 4 mths.

I am getting just 254 cashback for November month.
Airtel Recharge - 509
Airtel Broadband billpay - 590
Electricity billpay - 5400
Can anyone explain how ?

Is 254 cashback earned or cashback credited as per statement?
Congratulations! Cashback of INR 284 has been credited to your Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card XX8711 towards your spends during NOV'24.

This is the message I received today.

Ps typo of 254 instead of 284

October Month Spends

LIC premium - 5940 (utility)
mobile recharge - 509
Airtel broadband - 580

Axis Airtel doesn't always provide correct cashback. There is no point worrying about it. Just happily accept whatever you get each month. I never bother to calculate.
