Amazon pay has excluded many categories from cashback...The major one is education...I was using it to pay the fees...

Indeed it's a huge devaluation. Used to pay using this card as it used to give 1% cb on almost all transctions.

BTW hdfc millenia has a quarterly milestone benefit. i.e., spend 1L in a quarter, get 1K AGV which makes rewards on edu fee even sweeter with effective CB as 2%. I have been doing this for the past 1 year, my kid's fee is ~80K , I clock the rest ~20K on AGVs and hit the milestone.

Yes, this is useful. Until now, I used Swiggy card only for Swiggy transactions. The time has come to use it for education spends 🙂

We have sadly reached that stage where we r forced to use a food specific credit card for education spends. May god show us some mercy from these brutal devaluations🥲

The issue with HDFC is that they sometimes charge you processing fees even for institutional app payments. I was not charged in May nad June, suddenly started charging in July and August. Writing to the CC has not helped. Useless copy-pasted responses. TNI should still be a decent deal. But I was so nnoyed with HDFC that I went to my PNB Rupay Select. PNB usually not bother with too many conditions, they just don't want to deal with all exclusions, inclusions and managing all that.

While the ICICI devaluation is disappointing, the card still remains of good value overall.

HDFC Tata Neu Infinity CC gives 1.5% CB on education fee payment also. I paid directly on the institution website and got it. Not sure about education fee payment through apps.

Is it still giving cashback on education payment for institution website? any monthly max limit?
