Amazon pay wallet loading with SC Smart

Amazon is charging 2.36% on loading the amazon pay wallet using credit cards. SC Smart gives 2% cashback on wallet load.

Does that mean SC Smart or any credit card that gives cashback on wallet loading is now useless for amazon pay? I could just be bad at maths, so please be gentle if I'm completely wrong here 😅

really? Can you not just buy Amazon Pay gift vouchers for free via amazon?

You can, but it cant be used for UPI transactions. Whereas wallet balance can be used

I can, but those are amazon shopping vouchers. So, cannot be used for transactions like utility payments. Also, no point using SC Smart for that @ 2% cashback when there is ICICI Amazon Pay and many other cards that would provide 5% cashback.

I had taken SC Smart specifically for some insurance payments (under 50k) and wallet loading.

I closed my Smart card yesterday and that was definitely not the case with me. They asked me why I wanted to close the card just as a formality, and immediately processed the closure request.

they're now very desperate to provide ultimate card.

They care ultimate only for now, definitely closes smart.
