Existing card holder who is referring their friend- MGMer
New applicant who uses a referral link given by an existing card holder- MGMee
The points earned depends on the approved card. Thats why the term 'upto'
The benefit is limited to application and subsequent approval of TWO cards only this time around:
1. American Express® Platinum Reserve Credit Card - (Annual fee of ₹10,000 plus tax waived off on spending ₹10,00,000 in previous year) - Annual income 6 Lakhs.
2. American Express® Platinum Card - (Annual Fee ₹66,000 plus taxes)
An example
Mr X has Membership Rewards Credit Card. If Mr Y applies for Platinum Reserve Credit Card using the unique link provided by Mr X and gets approved,
Mr Y (MGMee) will get- 4,000 Referral Bonus Membership Rewards® points when they spend INR 5,000 within 90 days of Cardmembership* + a Welcome Gift of 11,000 Bonus Points on payment of the annual fee and on spending INR 30,000 within 90 days of Cardmembership. So a total of 15,000 MR points
Mr X (MGMer) will get 8000 Referral Bonus Membership Rewards® points.
If MR Y directly applies at the American Express website and gets the card approved, he will miss out on the 4,000 Referral Bonus Membership Rewards points. He will still get the 11,000 Points Welcome gift as mentioned above.
