Hey TFC Guys,
I hope you’ve seen some IYKYK posts on Twitter about the new offer. They’re referring to the American Express x Marriott Bonvoy Points Transfer Offer.
On 17th feb 2025, the offer will go live.
Amex Platinum and Centurion cardholders will be able to transfer their MR points to their Marriott Bonvoy account and receive a 10% bonus.
However, this is quite disappointing. Amex used to offer a 30% bonus, but now it’s only 10%—and that too, only for Platinum and Centurion cardholders.
Moderator's Note:
The offer is live from 17th April 2025 and will continue till 18th April 2025
The 10% Bonus points are capped at 25,000 MR points, thus to maximise the value, you should transfer 2,50,000 MR points to Marriott, not more than that.
The credit of the Bonus Points will happen after 120 days from the date of transfer initiated.
With the recent devaluation of redemption rates of Marriott hotels, especially the top-of-line properties such as JW Masai Mara, this 10% bonus compensates a bit of it, though Marriott could've done better with no capping and a higher % bonus. The Platinum Charge card's offer of 1,50,000 points just got a bit sweeter with this offer.
Official T&C of this offer attached.
