Amex Application Rejected

I recently applied for an AMEX platinum travel card. After the video KYC, I got a rejection mail in a couple of hours stating, "After reviewing your application, it has come to our notice that the details provided in your application do not meet our internal requirements for Card issuance.". I'm in Bangalore, my CIBIL is 792, and I'm self-employed with an ITR of over 20 lakhs. I know these are well above the financial requirements for the card. Not sure why I got rejected

means something was wrong in your application and hence rejected .. Can you guess what it could be?? as Amex wont tell you the reason anyway ..

This is my current situation with Amex plat charge--

Applied on August 5 and got rejected due to non-serviceable location.
As suggested by many, got the adhaar updated to serviceable location i.e Delhi NCR.

The address is on postpaid connection off my previous Office address (It's not residential but mentioned nowhere as Aadhaar also accepted it)

however, i talked to Amex today and they told you can apply only after 90 days, can you please help me applying for it. I meet all the eligibility criteria now.
Also, that address is for KYC byepass only and i would need the address delivered at my current address. I appreciate your help. [Unable to DM you]

I have applied for Amex SmartEarn credit card vkyc completed and uploaded supporting documents but today I received mail that , it cannot be processed because of income doesn't meet . But my CTC is 5 Lakh and SmartEarn required 4.5l then why it is not processed.
Please help me to get this card .

Unfortunately , we can't do anything after the application was lodged and the decisoin was made. you should have contacted me before the application.
anyway we can try after 90 days.
DM me for further details / conversation ..

@BestBanker - requesting your help... Applied Plat travel for my wife, but during KYC - she turned aside for a question and call centre executive informed that she is being prompted and ended the call saying the application shall be rejected -- Also got message that application could not be processed.. Is there any way to solve this issue..

Such situations are tricky and questions need to be answered confidently to avoid any suspicion.

Hi,

I applied for a MRCC two weeks ago, and at the end of the filling the application it got rejected. Then I applied for Gold Charge same situation.

Then I sent an email to head-customerservicesindia AMEX asking for the reason because I have Plat Travel which was approved in Nov 2024.

Today I received an email to complete the VKYC. Are they reconsidering my application? Or I can expect an rejection email after VKYC? And lastly, should I complete the VKYC for both the cards or just one?

Edit: Completed the VKYC yesterday and got approved for Gold Charge Card this morning (2/18/25).
