Btw AmEx applications not resumed yet, if your annual spending is as follows and you're looking to earn great rewards for travel:
  • 2.4 Lakh annually - ₹20k/month - 2 milestone benefits per month (2000 points/month): Go for the American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card (MRCC) - Reward multiplier 2X points.
  • 4 Lakh+ annually- Milestone (40,000 points +Taj Voucher & domestic lounge access) - Go for the Platinum Travel Card. Reward multiplier 3X points.

mera annual spend near about 7-8 lacs so i confused which i am getting those card like mrcc, platinum travel yea gold charge...

Easy answer: none. All of their cards are useless. I have two of them.
I wouldn't call it useless, especially plat travel . For the right type of spends it's a game-changer.

For that high spends, if you buy jewellery or pay tax or insurance or whatnot , id suggest plat travel. If it's travel spends , hsbc travel one or any other card is definitely better.

Not withstanding the low acceptance of AmEx cards, it's good to have at least 1 card which suits your style of spending.

If pure cashback is what you are looking, then forget it. Reward Points for redemption to travel/stay... are what are the best out of AmEx cards.

AmEx doesn't usually give LTF cards. Keep the Annual charges in mind while deciding.

MRCC se start karo, aapko bhi kuch tension nahi dete woh card, 1.5lakh spend karega toh fees nahi hei. Aur dusra bank ka ek acha card backup rakenga tho better.

Not really. I have stopped using it as my Infinia and Biz Black are far better. Even SBI Cashback is generally better. 40K points a year doesn't get you much as those points have very low value.

For someone with Infinia or EPM ofcourse it doesnt make sense.

But like i said, the card is amazing for the right spends, hospital / jewellery etc where SBI CB is useless. Its an easy milestone card for the right person.

If you just want the name `Amex` then get amex smart earn.

I also have the same. I just got it for the name and not for rewards. It gives 2.5% in amazon and 5% in flipkart upto 2500rs per month. 40k spends to waive 500rs annual fee.
