Amex Coming back in India?

Currently Amex ban is there

However someone I know was told from office that he'll get Amex CC from office (when I can't say)

That's because, corporate cards are just like add on, amex can issue corporate card, if the company already has corporate card relationship with amex

Just to add here, one of my friend works in Amex. As part of benefits they usually get corporate amex cards, but the same has not been issued to them so far due to the rbi ban.

You can't say India is going slow just because AMEX ban is not lifted.
RuPay is an indian product & has to dominate the foreign platforms at least in India.

Are baba I mean india going slow with amex. Definitely with Modi in place india going with full power.

many online transactions using amex have been failing this month. money gets deducted from card, but doesnt get credited to the vendor. so had to wait for the money to come back (amex app showed transaction as pending, so had to wait for few days to disappear from the app) before retrying with visa

Amex should start issuing soon, amex has completed the formalities and have prepared the framework and have already submitted to RBI last month, you may hear the good news quite soon

Yeah. When I asked cc, they said they have formed a team who are working every day with rbi to complete the compliance.
