Congratulations.. After Vkyc, it generally gets approved... Most of the rejections happen before vkyc.
Reconsidering a rejected application after vkyc and income docs, in itself is an approval.
As the process needs to be re kicked in, they advised you to go for vkyc which actually doesn't do any vkyc ,it immediately says your vkyc completed and after an hour or two you would have got your approval email. hence, there won't be any CIBIL inquiry which was your first question..
It was just a formality and the software process flow it has to be followed to grant you a card ..

I applied for amex mrcc 15days back and cancelled the application myself due to address issues after a discussion with customer executive. I reapplied yesterday for gold charge card after updating my current address in adhaar card. I received a vkyc link upon clicking it said VKYC already completed (maybe based on my last application). Today I received an email saying your application is on hold and to contact customer executive.
On calling, they said my application has been cancelled due to address mismatch. Since there was no re-kyc done, my latest address were not fetched by there system and the same old address of my last cancelled application has been considered as current address due to which they directly cancelled the application without letting me know about the issue.
Already I got 2 CIBIL enquiries this month from Amex, so I don’t want to reapply. And currently I’m on notice period which is ending tomorrow. Later I’ll not be able to furnish income proofs if asked or in case of office verification it’ll definitely get rejected(even if I was not asked for any income documents for my current application). So is there any way I can get the same application reopen and get a vkyc link to update address. Since the current application is not rejected just cancelled. On asking the same question to amex call support they said to reapply. But what is the guarantee that I will be able to do VKYC again as for the current application it said VKYC already done.
As per this thread shall I send an email to social@aexp.com? Will it be helpful?
