Amex for rent

Step 1)
Load your MobiKwik using Plat Travel
you will incur ~ 3% charges for loading into MK,
some minor CB while loading using "Century" code.
1% CB for payment of CC bill using DC..

Step 2) Pay your into landlord's account directly from your MobiKwik Wallet. it is called UPI on Wallet( No charges for this)

After reaching milestones, you will be well infront..

ENjoy!!
How about using the same for other smaller payments (1500+), Do you think it will help in achieving some thresholds such as MRCC (1500*4) or braoder milestones such as 4L on Amex Plat Travel?

yes, you can do that if it fits your spending style
Hmm, it never really occured to me. I paid the rent by this method , thanks to your advice this month and have been thinking since. I have a few smaller recurring payments, such as school bus fee (1800), maid charges (1800), football coaching for my son (2000) which I have been paying cash or UPI so far, but I believe if I use this method can help me achieve at least the MRCC monthly thing easily, no? What would you suggest?

yes, correct .. but need to think about applicable wallet loading charges while doing this.

Since this month only I have done a trnx of 45k I can share my experience I was also under this impression too it will treated as income from other source or anything you wanna name or includ into but with that said in your amex plat travel there would debit entry and credit entry and in your saving account with that said another debit entry to the landlord or whoever you're sending the money too now take gst invoice too(may be without this you could in trouble I won't be cause whoever I'm sending money is issuing me gst invoice) at the same time cause for me it for my business. Overall 2 debit and one credit entry. Only loss is the charges will be offset by plat milestone whenever you redeem. So why not use rent option instead I don't know but amex isn't supported or what if I use mobikwik instead once again your had done vkyc right? They already have your pancard it same thing. Check your AIS for better understanding this time I would also check and see the difference not sure if it reflected in ais or something else I also have ignored doing this from past 1.5 yr for the same thing. This could backfir, but it shouldn't for salaried folk it should same thing be cause your expense are in your credit card statement.
So you found anything in AIS?

Hi I have recently got the amex platinum card for paying rent under the impression that housing accepts amex for rent. Only to find out now that it accepts amex for education fees and people use this option to pay their rent.

I am concerned that if I do this and make the payment via education fees to my landlord or to my own account (and then UPI the money to landlord) then will it not show incorrect earnings on the landlord's or my pan card? I'm afraid it could lead to issues while filing ITR. Is there no risk attached here?
Hi,
I was also wondering the same thing. I'm unable to send the amount directly to my landlords account because of a name mismatch between the PAN card and Bank account name. So I'm thinking of crediting the money directly into my account and then forwarding it to the landlords account.
Did you get to the bottom of the ITR issue? Does the amount getting transferred from housing.com to my account get tagged as an income?
