Amex Gold Charge application pending

I have applied for amex gold card on 26/10/2023 as my 3rd amex card but the application is still pending since 20 days i have spoken to Amex support even emailed to nodal desk but no progress is seen. last time when i applied for amex mrcc and plat travel card it was approved within 3 days without any income docs.

Any other way to escalate the matter ?

Congrats! Less than 6 hours is insane.
Generally, the Amex applications get approved fast, seems like OP's was an exception or might have needed some additional verification.

As per some members opinion here, it seems Amex has some weird logic of not to grant gold charge as the third card after MRCC and Platinum travel..(especially so, within short span of time)
Not sure why…

I got all the three cards within 20 days. First applied Platinum Travel and got approved, then applied MRCC and 2 days after receiving MRCC, applied Gold charge the next. All cards got approved within 20 days.

Amex likely has no issue approving the trifecta cards without any gap or cooling period.

I have 4 cards plat travel mrcc gold chg and plat chg. Ask them the reason for pendi g status

You can apply all cards at same time.
