My PAN card is slightly damaged (a corner has broken off) and I'm having trouble getting a replacement due to some bureaucratic issues. Recently I applied for an Axis credit card but wasn't able to complete the video KYC due to this issue. The person said their system wouldn't be able to process a damaged card. Instead, they sent an executive over for physical verification and he did some Aadhaar authentication. I got the card in the end.
I want to apply for an Amex card next but I'll have to change my Aadhaar address. Before I bother doing that, I need to know if the damaged PAN will be a problem for Amex too, and if so, if there is any workaround.
