It varies from person to person and based on their spends and repayment history with AMEX. It varies from month to month or even transaction to transaction.
Even if they allow, they can request ITR and you have to show those spends to unblock the account. So, it also depends on one own financial capability.
Regarding EMI: I hope simple search on forum or online will explain the difference between 'charge cards vs credit cards'.
Regarding your question: I hope only you can answer it whether its suitable or not because you are not a frequent traveler or go on luxury vacations. So, based on your preference calculate MR point value and see whether its beneficial or not.
I can see a credit limit of 16.53L for my Amex Platinum Charge card under CIBIL, which appears to be a shadow limit. However, this limit may vary based on our spending habits. Sometimes, they extend the limit upon request if we provide a valid purpose for the increase

I think that Amex does not mention any limit in CIBIL for their charge card. Additionally, the spending power feature allows me to check up to a maximum of 10 lakh. If I try to check more than that, I get an error indicating that the page is unable to reload. It seems that for amounts over 10 lakh, I need to check with customer care, but I am not sure.

I can see the limit under my CIBIL report. May be your shadow limit is 10L, beyond which shows error. I was able to check upto 16L the last time I check for. The limit varies for each user, depending on their spending patterns and other factors

My shadow limit is more than 10 lakh, and customer care mentioned that I can use up to 15 lakh. However, I am unable to verify this through my spending power check, as I encounter an error. When trying to exceed the shadow limit, I typically receive a message saying "Apologies, unable to approve," or something similar.

I have a Gold Charge card & customer care said my shadow limit is the same as my platinum travel card (12L). They haven't reported any limits to CIBIL yet but they might do that by next cycle since it's a new card & been through only one billing cycle/reporting cycle.
