Earn 5 RP/100₹ spent.
In most credit cards there is capping of Monthly fuel spends and Reward points.
Those who have high volume fuel spends can use Amex Platinum Charge Card as it earns 5 RPs per ₹100/- spent for transactions below ₹5000/- per transaction. Also you can earn 5000 RPs through this per month depending on your spends so better choice for high fuel spends individuals.
Use HPCL pumps for 1% fuel surcharge waiver.

I only have 1 HP pump near my home and work in Chennai and tried to use the Platinum card for fuel for the first time today. The pump guy claimed that they don't have the Amex machine and had to use a Visa CC for it. Is the acceptability better in other areas? Thanks.

can someone share the comprehensive T&C for amex plat charge. the one is viewed only mentions utility and insurance as exclusions and doesnt mention govt payments or education institutions so wasnt sure.

On Gold Jewellery- Yes, On gold Coins- I think No and there is no limit of MR Points
How would Amex know what you have purchased? I purchased gold bars on Amex Platinum Travel recently and got reward points. It's a simple yes or no kind of exclusion. Either they provide rewards on jewelry or not. Once they do, they have no way of knowing what the amount was spent on. All they will see is 5 lakhs purchase at Tanishq or Joyalukas etc. They wouldn't know what it was.

Agree, amex can only see the MCC and the merchant name. Not possible to know the purchased item.
