Update: I did a 18k wallet load with Amex Platinum and transferred it to landlords account. It went without a problem. ~3% was charged.
Just some rough calculations on my 34k rent. This will come to around 1020 per month or Rs12240 annually. So total expenses on this Plat Travel card will be 18,140 (Inc annual fees).
Does wallet load have RP's? Anyway 40k MR will be received as bonus along with the 10k Taj Voucher. If there are RP, it will be 48k MR in total.
So are 18k fees for 48k points + Taj Voucher worth it? Even at a conservative .5 value, it does seem fine.
Anyway rent is a necessary expense which can't be skipped but might as well get some use out of it.

This is exactly what I was considering few days back. This is my calculation

1 MR = 0.375 Amazon/Flipkart

~ 0.75% base return

~2.25% 3x reward multiplier returns

~4.5% rate of return + 10k Taj voucher with milestones

So 4.5-3 = 1.5-% rate of return on rent. Plus 10k taj voucher. This is my conclusion.

Hi all,
I pay a combined rent of 55k per month for all 3 flatmate together. Rental agreement as names of all 3 of us. I have recently got Amex plat travel card, how best do you suggest I avail it to reach the 4l/year milestone ?

Can you use it multiple times in a day? Or maybe multiple times in a month? Currently it's capped at ₹100 so can I do multiple ₹10k transaction and add money?
Hi yes it did work multiple times last month but haven’t checked this month. Paytm is also good option if there is some cashback offer
