My Amex Plat Travel card is up for renewal soon and wanted to know what is best they do if we ready to do the renewal:
1. either annual fee waiver (5K)
or
2. Bonus AMEX points in lieu of paying the annual fees
or
3. Something else?

Hi All,

Today, my card renewal date. I called customer care and connected to retention team. Straight away I asked if there is any spend based fee waiver. They offered if I spend 1.5 lac within 90 days. I happily accepted because I have insurance spend due in December. I spend around 5 lacs in previous year.

my view is that taking 50% off is the best decision
Second is burn 10k points and pay the yearly fees
