Amex Special Bonus 10,000 MR Points

Hi,

I have received 10,000 MR points and it is indicated as special bonus. I have no idea how it come.

The only thing i did was apply for a supplementary Platinum Charge card, but haven't read this clause anywhere that we get 10k MR points by applying for a supplemenatry card.

Any idea is this because of supplemantry card or any other reason?

I think there are some offers on supplementary cards, that are being sent to customers.
You might have unsubscribed from those emails.

The fees.for the card should also be a bit less, not sure though.

You will find threads in this community where it's concluded that it's vetter to get another card vya MGM offer, rather than directly applying for another card.

No, I wasn't charged. We can take up to 4 cards free, confirmed with the Customer care and saw the same while applying online as well

In my case, I just got a new card last week and applied for a supplementary card immediately. Did not avail any referral.

no i meant you might have applied through someones refferal or they might be giving it post joining fees as joining benefit

No, that is why im so confused. As i did not apply thru any referral and since my primary card came last week itself, i did not yet pay the joining fee. That's why I thought there might be some offer which I might be unaware of.

contact the customer care they will be able to guide you on why were those points credited

Yes, Platinum Charge, Platinum Reserve and MRCC.
Just cancelled the Gold Charge post receiving Platnium charge.
