Amex Special Bonus 10,000 MR Points

Hi,

I have received 10,000 MR points and it is indicated as special bonus. I have no idea how it come.

The only thing i did was apply for a supplementary Platinum Charge card, but haven't read this clause anywhere that we get 10k MR points by applying for a supplemenatry card.

Any idea is this because of supplemantry card or any other reason?

This is what it states Special Bonus: 10k points.

Were you charged 4K before and after the points were credited?

Also, try checking on the website on a laptop - it will show you which card these were credited to along with more details.

You can reach out to Amex customer support through chat or call. Ask them you want to buy points, they will confirm the number of points you want to buy(up to 10K per calendar year) and within 3-4 business days, they will get credited and you will see a charge on your card.

Wondering, if there is any special benefit of this?
The point value seems to be lower than on 18k or 24k collection.

It really depends on how you want to use them.
Don't buy them just to keep some extra points, it's meant to be a way if you want to redeem something and are running short of points.

At times like the Marriott transfer bonus offer, these come in handy if you have travel plans but otherwise hold back if you're unsure how to use them.
