Amex travel booking site will be temporarily paused from 27.01.26. This may not particularly mean devaluation in the long term, but it is a temporary devaluation for those who book on this site for reaching threshold spends or for their discounts.

It is pretty bad service anyway, tbh, mostly overpriced and quite terrible point conversion rates

Only FHR has some rare good offers (mostly for 3/4N+), but it is generally more profitable to book direct with hotel to get both loyalty points + foreign spend bonus (3x, which is uncapped)

I have used it several times for booking Air India flights. They give 7-8% discount and have very nominal convenience fee, roughly translating to 15% savings.. in addition to spends towards milestones for plat travel. Not sure how hotel booking looks like.

Is this for domestic flights? Or intl? And just with Air India?

Would be quite useful to get that discount, but last I had checked intl flights were costlier by ~10-20k, unfortunately
