If I paid joining fee on a card on 20Feb, 2022, till when can I place a card closure request for the same to avoid having to pay annual fees? Asking specifically for axis cards. Does it depend on when request is placed or when it gets processed?

Simple way is, locate card opening date in CIBIL: Complete your closure request before that day (Note: Complete, not request).

Ex: 15 Feb, 2022 your card opening date according to CIBIL.

In this case, you have to place closure request before 14th Feb, 2022 but

Note: They'll take some time to process your closure request and offer any retention etc. based on your profile and that can take up-to 7 days.

So, have to place closure request before 5th Feb, 2022 considering non-working days.

Totally agree on timeline.

@HN74 Also which card, if it is HNI one like Magnus or any reward points on milestone are yet to come, just ensure that as well. SO you do not loose any ER and conversion, retention milestone benefit etc.

Thanks guys. It is vistara signature card. I was planning to close it as I got 3 axis cards now and was thinking to switch vistara card to SBI. Since I think I am already late, I will pay the annual fees and use the premium economy ticket now before switching.
