Apple iPhone 17, 17 Pro, Air, Airpods 3, Watch - 09-09-2025 Event Discussion
Hi Guys planning to upgrade from 13 Pro Max to 17 Pro Max but have a doubt, Apple specifically mentioned that the 17 Pro variants having dual e-sim only config would be having better battery backup compared to the one having 1 e-sim+1 physical sim slot.
I tried selecting model, storage on apple's website but it doesn't give any information regarding which variant would be sold in India, any way to confirm this, also tried calling Apple customer support and the person on the call mentioned that India would be getting the dual e-sim variant only, but I highly doubt considering physical sim's are still very popular in India.

HODL AAPL stock for about a decade, surely dividends will be enough to buy an iPhone. 😉

Indian Pricing is very bad due to Rupee depreciation. I am really hating Apple every year for the same thing. As a usual iPhone upgrading user for the past 10-11 years or so, for the first time I am not upgrading my iPhone Pro now.

I was looking to buy iPhone 16 for my wife in this BBD sale. Expected price for 256 Gb variant is around 55-58K.
But after seeing iPhone 17 first time I feel that i should instead buy the latest one.
Better battery and Pro motion and 256Gb in the base variant with added 2X telephoto is a decent upgrade.
What's the best way to buy iPhone 17 in India. I have Infinia so would be getting iPhone 17 for around 70K (From Imagine tresor, Reliance Digital).
Any other better options??

Don't buy first generation of any new lineup. Wait for the second one, there will be issues which might come up. Also I am curious to see whether this also has bendgate issue or not.

I was planning to buy iPhone 16pro in this bbd sale, but now more inclined towards iPhone 17 as apart from camera all things seems equivalent to 16pro and camera is not my priority. Please suggest if it’s not wise decision.

how do we know when the 2nd generation is in market? Also I think bendgate issue is expected in iphone 17 air, though I'm no expert and asking here for kind opinions which help me to take my decision. 🙏
