Apple Watch & Zopper Wellness Program Worth It? (Series 10/Ultra/SE) - offline only

Running 12K every day for 365 days is unrealistic.

For an athlete or a regular runner, 12K five days a week is manageable.

For a beginner, running 5K on alternate days is a more reasonable approach.

Personally, I aim for 10K daily runs, excluding weekends. I’ve also had months where I ran 10K every single day, which proved exhausting and took a toll on my knees and overall reco

I don't think running even has to come into the picture. Running isn't realistic. Walking really is. Ideally this should involve habit changes in your day to day life. Parking you car farthest away, walking to the local store, walking as an activity. It should be 60 minutes of walking for 6000 steps. The remaining can just be accommodated with the change in lifestyle.

Walking 10K everyday is unrealistic as well. You have to have rest days in between.

I eat four meals a day and take a one-hour walk afterwards, covering approximately 5 kilometers each time. On many days, I complete more than 20,000 steps. I have been following this routine for the past six months, even before I started tracking my activities with this watch, whether for cashback or for other benefits.

Summer wont be much of a problem but on rainy days it will definitely a challenge to complete the target.

walking 10K and 12K steps a day will give you 2 & 3 points respectively. I guess walking 12K steps for 11 days and 10K steps for 19 days is a realistic target for me. Even though I can regularly hit 15K steps, I personally think that hitting 15K steps for 28 days in a month is a bit too much.

I hope the offer continues till 2nd or 3rd January-2025. I am planning to get a Series 10 with Cellular. I'll be using Infinia to buy Croma/Vijay sales vouchers. The MRP is 59900. I'll get approx. 10K points and considering my target of 60% cashback on MRP, the effective cost comes out to be 14K.
Things get tricky when I consider the Ultra 2 with milanese Loop which has MRP of 104900. I'll get 17.5K worth points and considering 60% cashback the effective cost comes out to be 24.5K.
Bro, the sum insured is divided by 12, so your sum insured could be an issue. First, check with Croma or Vijay Sales, or if you’ve used this method in the past, verify the invoice value. I know it might reflect the same value, but I’m not convinced this method would give you any cashback—60% or even less—because it’s based on the sum insured that’s swiped on the machine.

Also, you might not get anything because of the gift vouchers (GV) bought from SmartBuy. So, check with Croma, Vijay Sales, or any Apple third-party seller that offers GVs to get an idea. I know they might say it won’t work because they’re not informed, but try checking on YouTube or Twitter to see if someone has used this route for better clarity

What is the sum insured in normal case? Whatever I've read I understand it's the invoice value.

No, this is not health insurance; however, this offer includes a link to HDFC Ergo, an insurance company.

But they are offering a free Personal Accident Cover called Sarv Suraksha Plus (Group) worth ₹1 lakh. Additionally, on the Wellness Initiatives page, they are listing the cost of watches as the sum insured. So, is this insurance? I'm not entirely sure, as these details have not been made public until now.

In any case, our primary concern is the cashback. They assure us (as stated in the documents) that we will receive it without any issues within the next 12 months. That's what truly matters to us.

yeah you're right.. invoice value = sum insured. i too have infinia not sure why i didn't though of these though.. now stock issue could be thing too so once confirmed do reserve the variant and color you would purchase 1-2 day in advance. if both of these retail store are not that far.

i walk daily 15-17k steps..no rest day..
yeah gym i do 6days..1day rest..
but point is i walk in treadmill only..so no kms distance is counted

Yes, its the invoice value. The monthly payment will be percentage of (invoice value/12) depending on the points earned for that month.
Technically after card discount of Rs 2,500 one can make more than the amount spent.

There are devices to simulate steps on apple watch / iphone. This can be used to fake steps and complete your 15k target on tough days 🙂

Heard someone trying the watch to petdog also to complete steps.
I'm sure Apple watch can detect if the watch is used by an actual human or not.
They might be tracking location of the user and also they have sensors to detect height too. If your dog is wearing that watch then sensors will detect low height. And if you use that stationary machine then GPS will find it suspicious.
Why do you need a rest day separately?
He's right. Your body muscles need relaxation. Muscle recovery is neccessary.

Unless someone has been living very active lifestyle the 10k steps from the day 1 can cause more harm than benefits. All the doctors and the fitness trainers would suggest to increase physical activity gradually.

Does the watch require active pairing with an iPhone all the time or is it required for initial setup only?
After set up H24 active pairing not required for the watch to function. U can sync once in a week or so.

But in this case , better to sync data with ergo app every day,coz we didn't know how it's configured.

I have an old iPhone which I was about to sell in few months. My primary phone is Android. So the HDFC Ergo app will be in my Android phone.

Hence I was confused if it requires active pairing with an iPhone or not.
