I had taken ICICI Lombard travel insurance for my family for one year.
We had a trip planned to Australia this winter and the trip was delayed due to my daughter falling sick. The airlines and hotels were very helpful and we did not lose any money.. however, there was one flight from Melbourne to Sydney on Virgin Australia that was non refundable and they did not entertain our claim.
I filed with ICICI to claim travel insurance and lo and behold, a few weeks later, its been approved for the full amount.
Never expected it and glad to see it works and I was not caught up in some small fine print.
