Are there folks here who have money in investments or cash but have not taken a credit card

I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that he did not have a credit card. I know for a fact that this person does earn well and surely is eligible. He just did not want to take a credit card. I wanted to understand if there are more such folks and why do you not want a credit card?
Also would love to understand if there are folks who have some investment, but have not been offered a significant credit line on their card or are ineligible for a card as well. It'd be great if you could give a comparision of the portfolio you have vs credit limit (it could be 0 as well).
Doing this to help out a friend who is researching the credit card space for an assignment

Very nice thread, many have very less or near to 1/20 to credit/Loan...wrt to networth...
