Bhai kaha se laate ho stuff.

Credit mix, profile photo, wagera wagera kuch fark nahi padta.
Not true. CICs clearly mentions credit mix one of the primary factors influencing credit score.
Very rarely people get 800+ score without any secured loans. Home loan has most positive impact. Then gold loan, car loan and the rest like loan against investment, secured cc etc.

When you want big loans (HL, Luxury car, business loan) having good score is very important for a favorable rate.

Have u ever tried taking BIG LOAN?

What's actually "good score"?

Will any bank just sanction ur loan without income proof?

INCOME Documents play a very very big role in any type of BIG or SMALL LOANS.

My friend has close to 96L business loans, 20L CC (Cash&Credit) and recently took 66L home loan, his cibil is 776.

HL Interest rates - 8.1 (LIC)
Business Loans - 12.5 (HDFC), (SBI), etc.

*Unfortunately I won't be uploading pics, to prove all this.

IMO: I don't believe taking FD cc just to make so called credit mix.
Anything above 770 is more than enough.

Approval/rejection depends more on income but rate of interest depends on credit score not income. Banks don't reject once score>750 but when score improves around 800, you get some leverage to negotiate. In Eu/US, anyone can negotiate cuz branch level employees have leeway to set rate but not in india. And slashing interest by decimal point can save a lot when you are taking long duration big loans.
And If you don't believe in importance of credit mix, it's alright. But you are demeaning a member while being wrong. CICs clearly mentions credit mix as an important factor. We can only speculate effect of each kind of loans, but denying its importance is whole different thing.

Yeah, I knew but things works differently in India. And I replied on same from Indian context. I have experience of loans, cards, a little bit that's why said, I never come to a point where cibil was given importance at first priority.

My friend's CIBIL is more tha 760 and income of more than 50K. He had few late payments 2 years ago. Bank doesn't enhance his credit limit of CC/ Cash Credit Loan nor able to get Personal Loan.

Banks not enhancing credit limit just due to 760 CIBIL score?

There's something called Income to debt ratio.

Personal loan is *only for salaried individuals.
*(Manual applications)
1. Credit utilisation - as low as possible
2. Payments on time - Don't even wait for 3 grace days period.
3. Apply slowly and gradually. Less enquiries, better score.
Read above☝🏻

The discussion here is about "whether to keep FD cc in portfolio or not"

I again repeat, in India CIBIL is not given first priority for any card/loan!! It's 100% income docs.

CIBIL just shows your financial behavior.

1. Not enhancing limit due to those late payments few years back.
2. He is eligible for 6 Lakhs Cash Credit Loan (as per his monthly income), he currently has only 1 Lakh sanctioned that too many years back. He is not able to enhance that.
3. Tried.

PS CCL is a scheme here in the bank, the employee gets 6 months income as Cash Credit Loan, it is like Credit Card . use pay back use....
